Heredad Ugarte was founded in 1957. This family owned winery is dedicated to providing only the highest quality wines. Heredad Ugarte has traditionally selected and harvested vineyards, in the best spots of Rioja Alavesa: Laguardia and Labastida, achieving the proper combination between location, soil and grape variety so as to obtain fine wines with balanced color and acidity that are appreciated world-wide.
We feature five wines from Heredad Ugarte. One carries the DO Rioja and two are Vinos de La Tierra De Castilla.

95% Tempranillo, 5% Graciano. Underdeveloped hue of red fruit, broad range of aromas and especially excellent integration of the barrel with a very expressive fruit. A particularly well-balanced wine with mature, powerful tannin.

VINOS DE LA TIERRA DE CASTILLA

100% Tempranillo Concentrated and numerous nuances. Balanced, aggressive passage through the mouth and finesse in its half body.

100% Viura Pale and crystalline. Fine, herbaceous aromas, hints of lemon, clean. Delicious, grand final sensation of fullness and lusciousness
Recommendations: Serve the wine at a temperature of 46 to 49º F. Serve with seafood, fish, patés, cheeses, rice and pastas.

CABERNET ROSADO


100% CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2006
Its letter of introduction is a clear and brilliant fine ripe strawberry color with pinkish highlights. Clean and fresh to the nose, it releases pleasant subtle red berry aromas. Refreshing to the mouth, intense, potent, sweet and well balanced with a fresh, striking acid
Recommendations: Serve slightly chilled with apéritifs, chicken, pork, seafood and spicy dishes.
   
SHYRAZ TEMPRANILLO


50 % SHYRAZ 50% TEMPRANILO 2005
Intense, ripe fruit, floral touches and hints of cinnamon and toffee. Potent and structured, fruity and aromatic to the mid-palate before a finish marked by its aging in oak.
Recommendations: Red and white meat, poultry, strong cheeses, apéritifs
