DO Ribeiro

Ribeiro is located in the north-eastern corner of the Galician province Ourense. Ribeiro is a traditional growing area, and has been a registered DO since 1957. Much of the wine in the area is is produced by small, independent producers, called colleteiros, who make wine traditionally from their own grapes.

The regulating counsel allows both traditional varieties and some experimental ones that have produced excellent results. With careful preparation pale aromatic whites, fruity rosés and above all red crianzas of Bobal, Tempranillo, Syrah and Cabernet are created.

The white Ribeiros are full-bodied wines that we automatically associate with seafood and fish.

The red Ribeiros have a personality of their own, authentic and spirited. They are complex, wide-ranging and have remarkable character.
