Named for a famous 13th Century Galician minstrel poet, this company is rooted in the Rías Baixas area. The company was founded in 1986 by a group of vintners from the area. The company controls the production from growing the grapes through bottling. Martín Códax has become internationally known for it’s Albariño wines. It displays aromas that are intense and elegant, reminiscent of fresh herbs and the perfume of ripe apples, apricots and peaches. The taste is full-bodied and well structured, with a long aftertaste.
