Bodegas Castillejo de Robledo, S.A. is a relatively new company within the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin. The company was founded in 1998 with our first vintage in 1999, the culmination of a 15 year project beginning with the restoration of the vineyards.

Silentium Wines
The Silentium lines of wine are produced by Bodegas Castillejo de Robledo from their own fields. The wines are produced from 100% Tempranillo grapes. At the International Wine Fair, the Silentium Crianza won the silver medal. In 2003 Bodegas de Castillejo de Robledo presented their Crianza in international competition for the first time. This honor was repeated at the 2004 and 2005 International Wine Fairs with more silver medals.

Aged in Oak Aged 5 months in Oak barrels and 3 months in bottles. Characteristics: Intensive bright red color, with hints of violet. Crianza Aged at least 12 months in oak barrels and sold after the 1st of October of the second year following harvest Characteristics: Intensive bright red color, with hints of violet and a light tile color cap. Clean, strong and complex bouquet with a clear balance of fruit and a spicy sensation, distinguished by the fineness of its tannins Recommendations: Red and white meat, poultry, strong cheeses, apéritifs. |
Reserva The vintage for Reserva is chosen for the superior harvest of grapes. The wine is aged in oak barrels for 18 months and 14 months in the bottle. Characteristics: Intensive cherry red color, with orange edges. Strong, rich aroma with hints of dark mature fruit and spice. Persistent taste, full bodied and meaty with tannins of wood well integrated with the fruit Recommendations: Red and white meat, poultry, strong cheeses, apéritifs |
Rosé Characteristics: Lively strawberry red color of medium intensity. An intense complex aroma of red fruit with undercurrents of citrus and ripe fruit. The taste has good structure, persistent with an excellent aftertaste. Recommendations: Serve slightly chilled with apéritifs, chicken, pork, seafood and spicy dishes |
