Vinhos Do Alentejo
The Alentejo Region in the south
of Portugal covers almost one third of the country's total area.
Alentejo wines are unique and have exceptional quality. That distinctive quality
come upon the use and combination of the rich native grape varieties. The hot,
dry summers provide top conditions for ripening the grapes. The wines are made
from deeply colored grapes with high sugar levels providing good alcohol content,
full body, a fruity taste and intense color. Young wines are quite soft, with
balanced acidity. They are modern wines, very pleasant to the palate, and the
regional grape varieties give them an exclusive taste and aroma.
